Local law enforcement agencies are currently participating in this year’s STOP-DWI Holiday Season high visibility engagement campaign.

The campaign begins today (Dec. 13) and goes until Jan. 1, 2024 (New Years Day).

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Cortland Police Department, the Village of Homer Police Department and New York State Police are involved in the campaign, which aims to further reduce the incidence of drunk and impaired driving.

The campaign is one of many statewide initiatives promoted by STOP-DWI New York and Governor Kathy Hochul’s traffic safety committee. The campaign will also target the Super Bowl weekend, St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and more.
