A subtle cold front slid through the region overnight and will knock temperatures back for today.

A few clouds will be possible through the morning hours, and a stray flurry early on cannot be totally ruled out.

The clouds will gradually decrease, however, and skies should end up mostly sunny for the afternoon.

Winds will be out of the north today in the wake of the front. Wind speeds will be around or just over 5 mph with top gusts under 20 mph.

Afternoon highs will struggle to make it to, let alone beyond, 30 degrees. Hilltops especially will likely get stuck in the upper 20s.

Skies will remain clear tonight with even lighter northerly winds. Temperatures will quickly fall through the 20s this evening on their way to an overnight low in the mid 10s. Colder pockets will be possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sunny with some thin clouds, especially late. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: More clouds than sun. Perhaps a few stray showers late. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Perhaps a few stray showers early. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
