The first day of 2024 will not be anything special weather wise with near average temperatures, clouds, and little to no precipitation.

The best chance for a few stray flurries will come during the morning hours. The earlier in the morning, the greater the chance. Most areas will not see anything, though. Those that do will scarcely notice the few flakes that fall.

Skies will be cloudy throughout the day, though there is a small chance for a few brief glimpses of the sun, particularly in the afternoon.

Winds will be from the north in the morning, shifting to the northwest for the afternoon. Wind speeds will be around or just over 5 mph.

The north wind will keep temperatures on the cool side relative to our recent weather. This will also be around average relative to the climatological averages, though. Look for afternoon highs mostly in the low 30s.

There will not be much change after sunset, either. Clouds will remain plentiful, but the chances for some breaks in the clouds will increase further after midnight. No precipitation is expected.

Evening temperatures will dip into the upper 20s while overnight lows reach the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Increasing sunshine. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 30s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Some late flurries. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Thursday: Morning snow showers. Maybe a little late sun. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Friday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
