A snowstorm is projected to hit Cortland County this weekend, as the potentially first storm of 2024 continues to be monitored.

According to Friday’s Cortland Voice weather report by Drew Montreuil, the county is expected to receive 4-to-8 inches of snow. The report stated that snow is expected to arrive late Saturday afternoon and will turn steady and moderate overnight.

Light snow is expected through Sunday morning and will taper off by the afternoon, the report noted.

According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, either 3-4 or 4-6 inches of snow is expected for areas west of Cortland County. East of the county, however, storm totals are between six to 12 inches. For the latest (and daily) weather reports, go to cortlandvoice.com.
