A woman was charged with murder in Cortland County, according to a New York State Police report.
The State Police report stated that Ariela Thran, 32 of Granby, was arrested on Saturday (Jan. 6) for the murder of county resident Patricia Allison Halverson.
According to the report, Patricia Allison Halverson was found dead outside her residence at Wildman Road in the town of Solon.
Thran was charged with second-degree murder, a Class A-II Felony. Thran was arraigned and sent to Cortland County Jail without bail. She is due to appear in Solon town court on Jan. 17.
