County Sheriff’s Blotter: DWI accident and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office released a couple of arrest reports. Below are the reports:

Darrell V. Richmond

Richmond, 64 of Syracuse, was arrested during the early-morning hours of Sunday (Jan. 7).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers responded to a property damage accident on Clarks Corners Road in the town of Lapeer.

According to the report, Richmond was driving his car “under the influence of alcohol” and caused a single motor vehicle accident.

Richmond was charged with a DWI (a misdemeanor), driving with .08% or more blood-alcohol content (a misdemeanor), and failure to keep right and for an unsafe tire (traffic violations). He was released and now due to appear in Lapeer town court on Feb. 14.

Timothy D. Doyle 

Doyle, 30 of Cortland, was arrested on New Year's Day.

The county sheriff’s report stated that Doyle stole merchandise from the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville.

Doyle was charged with petit larceny, a Class-A Misdemeanor. He was processed, released and now due to appear in court at a later date.
