Bail was set for a woman accused of murder in Cortland County.
Ariela Thran, 32 of Granby (Oswego County), had her bail set at $50,000 cash, $1 million bond, or $10 million partially-secured surety bond with 10% down.
Thran has been accused of murdering county resident Patricia Allison Halverson. According to a New York State Police report, Halverson was found dead on Jan. 3 outside her residence at Wildman Road in the town of Solon.
Thran was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with second-degree murder (a Class A-II Felony). She is currently being held at Cortland County Jail and due to appear in Solon town court on Jan. 17.
Further details on the incident have yet to be determined, but the NYSP report noted that the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 607-561-7400.
