Bail set for woman accused of murder in Cortland County

Bail was set for a woman accused of murder in Cortland County.

Ariela Thran, 32 of Granby (Oswego County), had her bail set at $50,000 cash, $1 million bond, or $10 million partially-secured surety bond with 10% down.

Thran has been accused of murdering county resident Patricia Allison Halverson. According to a New York State Police report, Halverson was found dead on Jan. 3 outside her residence at Wildman Road in the town of Solon.

Thran was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with second-degree murder (a Class A-II Felony). She is currently being held at Cortland County Jail and due to appear in Solon town court on Jan. 17.
