Cold air will flood into the region today with some snow showers and gusty winds.

Skies will be cloudy throughout the day. The best chance for some snow showers will come in the latter half of the morning and the first half of the afternoon.

These snow showers will be the result of a combination of lake effect and a small impulse in the atmosphere moving through. For the most part, accumulations will be under an inch.

Southwest winds will be breezy with speeds of 15-20 mph and gusts of 30-40 mph.

These winds will continue to bring cold air in. Temperatures will not rise much today with a high in the mid 20s.

The wind and cold air will combine to produce wind chill values in the 0s and 10s.

Winds will drop this evening and there may even be some breaks in the cloud cover. Evening temperatures will drop into the mid 10s with an overnight low near or just above 10 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Clouds and some sun. Morning lows in the low 10s. Afternoon highs in the low 20s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy until some sun late. Perhaps a few snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.
