County Sheriff’s Blotter: Leaving the scene of an accident, criminal contempt and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office released arrest reports that included an individual leaving the scene of an accident and criminal contempt.

Here are the reports:

Alexandra C. Henning

Henning, 25 of Williamsville, was arrested on Sunday (Jan. 14).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Henning was driving while intoxicated. With assistance from the City of Cortland Police Department, it was discovered that Henning left the scene of a property damage accident without reporting it, which took place on Tompkins Street.

Henning was charged with DWI and aggravated driving while intoxicated (misdemeanors), and failure to stop at a steady red signal, an unsafe tire, speed not reasonable and prudent and leaving the scene of a property damage incident without reporting (all traffic violations).

Henning was released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Jan. 29.

Brian W. Fairweather

Fairweather, 42 of Cortland, was arrested on Friday (Jan. 12).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Fairweather violated an order of protection. According to the report, Fairweather violated an order of protection on Dec. 8 in Cincinnatus and Jan. 10 in Truxton.

Fairweather was arrested on a warrant and charged with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt (a Class-E Felony). He was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in Cincinnatus town court on Wednesday (Jan. 17) and Truxton town court on Jan. 24.
