A weak area of low pressure will pass to our southeast today, spreading some light snow into our area.

The snow will fall throughout the daytime hours, gradually tapering off towards sunset. Most of the time, the snow will fall lightly. There may be a few periods of slightly heavier snow here and there.

In all, accumulations throughout the day will total 2-4 inches. Travel conditions should be mixed to fair with the slower snow rates.

Temperatures will work their way to a high in the low and mid 20s this afternoon.

Winds will be light from the south through the morning. This afternoon, the wind will turn to the west and increase. Wind speeds will be near 10 mph with a few gusts to 25 mph.

The wind will lessen after sunset but will remain steady around 5 mph through the night. The wind will shift again, briefly turning to the northwest, then reversing to the southwest.

Skies will gradually clear out tonight, allowing temperatures to quickly fall into the 10s this evening. Overnight lows will end up in the mid 0s, though some locally colder pockets cannot be ruled out.

Thursday: Cloudy with some light snow late. Morning lows in the low 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Friday: Cloudy with some light snow. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the low 20s.

Saturday: Cold and breezy with lake effect flurries and squalls. Morning lows in the mid 0s. Afternoon highs in the mid 10s.
