Larceny arrests made at local store (County Sheriff)

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office recently made a couple of larceny arrests at a local store.

Jaime C. Andres-Lopez

Andres-Lopez, 24 of Cortland, was arrested on Saturday (Jan. 27).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Andres-Lopez stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville.

Andres-Lopez was charged with petit larceny – a misdemeanor. The individual was processed, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Feb. 12.

Bryan R. Howe

Howe, 33 of McGraw, was arrested on Tuesday.

The county sheriff’s report stated that Howe stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville.

According to the report, Howe previously had a trespass notice on the property. He fled the scene before officers arrived. Officers located Howe, who was taken into custody after resisting arrest.

Howe was charged with third-degree burglary (a felony), and petit larceny and resisting arrest (misdemeanors). He was arraigned, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Feb. 7.
