County Sheriff’s Blotter: DWI arrests and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office released a few arrest reports, which include driving while intoxicated and larceny charges.

Below are the reports:

Will D. Wyant

Wyant, 35, of Cortlandville, was arrested on Friday (Feb. 9).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers conducted a traffic stop for Wyant on Route 13 in Cortlandville. He was then arrested for driving while intoxicated (a Class-A Misdemeanor).

Wyant was also charged with no stopping/standing/parking on a highway and for refusal of a breathalyzer test (all infractions). He was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Feb. 26.

Arie J. Serrant

Serrant, 21, of Ithaca, was arrested on Saturday (Feb. 10).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 11 in Cortlandville for Serrant, who was driving while intoxicated.

Along with his DWI charge, Serrant was also charged with refusal to take a breath test, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and no stopping/standing/parking on a highway (all infractions).

Serrant was released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Feb. 26.

Rachel L. Chace

Chace, 27, of Homer, was arrested on Friday (Feb. 9).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Chace allegedly stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville. Chase was also in possession of drugs.

Chace was charged with petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanors). Chace processed, arraigned, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Feb. 26.
