Cortland County has entered into an agreement to allow textile recycling at its recycling center in the future.
The county’s agreement is with St. Pauly Textile, Inc., who has a program for textile recycling. The agreement, recommended by the highway committee, will be at no cost to the county.
Details on when the county recycling center will begin accepting textile recycling remain to be seen.
The county recycling center recently made some changes for its 2024 guidelines. The center is now accepting plastics with a No. 5 inside the chasing arrow symbol.
