Individual in possession of 1,000s worth of ‘molly’, other drugs (County Drug Task Force)

An individual was arrested last week after he was allegedly found to be in possession of “molly” and other drugs, according to a report.

A report from the Cortland County Drug Task Force stated that with assistance from the City of Cortland Police Department, a traffic stop was conducted on River Street.

According to the report, Jason M. Schermerhorn, 46, of Cortland, had a warrant out for his arrest. Schermerhorn was allegedly in possession of 122 grams of “molly,” four grams of cocaine, psilocybin, packaging material and an undisclosed amount of money.

The report noted that the approximate street value of “molly” is $3,600, while the cocaine has a street value of $400.

Schermerhorn was arraigned and sent to Cortland County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in Cortland city court on Friday.
