High pressure will slowly build in today behind low pressure departing the area this morning.

Some early showers and drizzle will be in the area this morning. Some of the drizzle could linger into the later morning hours. A few pockets of freezing drizzle early on are not out of the question but should be few and far between.

The afternoon will be dry, but clouds will linger. Eventually, some breaks in the clouds should allow for some glimpses of later afternoon sun.

A steady north wind will blow at speeds around 10 mph. Top gusts will be just over 20 mph.

With the clouds and northerly winds, temperatures will be a little cooler than in recent days. Look for highs in the mid to upper 40s this afternoon.

Tonight, the skies will continue to clear. The north wind will decrease and turn to the east, then southeast.

Evening temperatures will quickly drop back into the upper 30s and overnight lows should just get under 30 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Morning sun. Increasing clouds in the afternoon. Morning lows just under 30 degrees. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday: Cloudy with late rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Sunday: Morning snow, transitioning to on and off snow showers. Blustery. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Monday: Lake snows continue, with some predawn and early morning accumulations. Snow tapers off in the afternoon and ends by evening. Blustery. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
