A quiet, mild day is ahead for our region as the next weather maker gets set to move in tomorrow.

Light southeast and south winds will blow during the daytime hours today. Morning winds speeds will be around 5 mph, with a slight increase in wind speed this afternoon.

Sunshine will be plentiful this morning with just a few occasional thin clouds.

Thin clouds will increase during the midday and early afternoon hours, gradually becoming thicker and more widespread through the remainder of the afternoon. By sunset, it will likely be overcast.

Cloudy skies will persist throughout the night, but no precipitation is expected.

Temperatures will be a bit warmer than yesterday with highs mainly in the mid 50s. Evening temperatures will drop back into the upper 40s.

Wind speeds will increase notably after sunset, still coming in from the south-southeast.

The strongest winds will be over the northern hilltops. There, wind speeds will be near 15 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Lower elevations will have slightly lower wind speeds.

Overnight lows will eventually make it down into the upper 30s just before sunrise.
