Local law enforcement agencies will engage in this weekend’s STOP-DWI Super Bowl weekend high visibility engagement campaign.

The campaign begins on Friday (March 15) and will run through Sunday (March 17) on St. Patrick’s Day.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Cortland Police Department and the Village of Homer Police Department are involved in the campaign, as it aims to further reduce the incidence of drunk and impaired driving.

The campaign is one of many statewide initiatives promoted by STOP-DWI New York and Governor Kathy Hochul’s traffic safety committee. The campaign will also target Memorial Day and the Fourth of July this summer.
