High pressure will bring more sunshine and warm air into the region today.

There will be more clouds mixing in with the sunshine today than yesterday. However, there will still be plenty of sun throughout the day.

A stray spit of rain cannot be totally ruled out. Most areas will not see any rain, and those that do will probably not see enough to totally wet the pavement.

Winds will be from the southwest this morning, but will turn to the west, then northwest during the afternoon. Wind speeds will be under 10 mph with top gusts around 20 mph.

Afternoon highs should at least reach 60 degrees but may sneak even a little warmer, especially in valley locations.

Tonight, skies will clear for a time before more substantial cloud cover gradually works in overnight. Winds will be light throughout the night.

Evening temperatures will quickly drop through the 50s and into the mid 40s. A slower drop will take place overnight, with lows reaching the upper 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Some early sun, then increasing clouds. Showers possible during the evening and night. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s

Friday: Mostly cloudy. Occasional showers possible, especially early. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs near 50.
