Low pressure will pass across southern Canada and into southern New England today, but the bulk of the precipitation for our area associated with this system has already fallen overnight.

There will continue to be scattered bits of precipitation today, but much of the time, it will be dry.

The best chance for precipitation will come this morning. Rain showers will mix with some snowflakes, especially early on. These should gradually become fewer and farther between.

By the afternoon, sunny breaks in the clouds will be more common than spits of rain. At times, the sun may be out for an extended period of time.

Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies will continue into the evening and overnight, but even then, a stray flurry cannot be totally ruled out.

Winds will turn breezy today, coming in from the west-northwest. The strongest winds will be from the late morning through the mid afternoon. Wind speeds during this time may approach 15 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Temperatures will not be too far off the seasonal averages, topping out this afternoon in the low and mid 40s. Evening temperatures will drop back into the mid 30s and overnight lows should make it down into the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Mostly cloudy. Afternoon snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 30s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Wednesday: Breezy with snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a few more snow showers. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
