County Sheriff’s Blotter: Criminal contempt, larceny and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office recently released arrest reports.

Below are the reports:

Rachelle A. Riggs and JerriAnn Harris

Riggs, 30, of Syracuse, and Harris, 36, of Cortland, were arrested on Friday (March 22).

The county sheriff’s report stated that on March 19, officers responded to the Price Chopper grocery store in Cortlandville for a report of larceny that occurred on March 12.

According to the report, Riggs and Harris allegedly stole merchandise from the store. Both individuals turned themselves in on March 22.

Riggs and Harris were both charged with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy (misdemeanors). Both were released and are now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on April 8.

Codey M. Smith

Smith, 28, of Harford, was arrested on Friday (March 22).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Smith allegedly “harassed a person” at a residence in Harford, while violating an order of protection.

Smith was charged with second-degree criminal contempt (a misdemeanor) and second-degree harassment (a violation). Smith was processed, arraigned, released and is now due to appear in Harford town court on April 3.
