Homer girls lacrosse team starts off the season on the right foot; wins season opener

The Homer Lady Trojans opened up the season with a home win against Rome Free Academy Monday evening. Homer won the game with a score of 15-6. 

Homer was led by Maria Partis (5 goals & 1 assist), Ella Spanbauer (5 goals), Lilly Sorenson (3 goals & 2 assists), Brayden Partigianoni (1 goal & 1 assist), and Emma Effinger (1 goal & 1 assist). 

Rome Free Academy was led by Fiona McMahon (3 goals), Isibeal McMahon (2 goals), and Carly Wutsch (1 goal). 

Homer goalie Aislynn Cobb recorded a total of 4 saves in the game, while Cheyenne Oakes made 2 saves for Rome Free Academy.

The now 1-0 Lady Trojans are scheduled to host Clinton at Homer high school this upcoming Thursday (March 28th) at 5:15pm.
