Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, April 2, 2024:

Low pressure moving into the Upper Great Lakes will drag a frontal boundary northward today.

Rain showers will increase through the morning, turning into a steady rain for much of the afternoon. A few heavier downpours will be possible at times.

The rain will continue into the evening but will gradually become more showery. After midnight, the rain will become scattered and lighter.

By tomorrow morning, anywhere from a half an inch to an inch of rain will have fallen.

Winds will be from the southeast throughout the day, increasing to near 10 mph during the afternoon. The wind will increase further overnight, making it to near or over 15 mph by dawn.

Temperatures will reach a high in the mid to perhaps upper 40s this afternoon. Evening temperatures will slowly drop back through the 40s. Overnight lows will be in the upper 30s.

Friday: Rain and snow showers. Morning lows in near 30. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Saturday: Rain and snow showers. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.
