The Village of Homer recently announced that the month for yard waste pickup has changed.
The pickup of leaves, branches and garden/lawn waste will be now and until April 30 this year. Pickup took place in May last year.
All yard waste must be placed at the curb. Branches must be separate from leaves and other garden/lawn products. Branches also must be placed in the same direction and no longer than six feet.
Yard waste pickup is based on the village’s department of public works schedule. The compost site on North Fulton Street is currently open.
