The weather will split today between some showers this morning and some sun this afternoon.

Rain showers will be on their way out this morning. Exactly how long the showers linger remains to be seen. They may be out by the mid-morning or may linger until midday.

A few rumbles of thunder cannot be ruled out, though most of the showers should be light.

After the rain moves east, sunshine will start to poke through the clouds by the early afternoon. Skies should transition to a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of the afternoon.

Clouds will increase again this evening and a few more showers will be possible, especially after midnight.

Winds will be light and variable today with speeds generally under 5 mph.

Temperatures will remain mild, though will not be as warm as yesterday. Look for afternoon highs mainly in the mid 60s with a few hilltops in the low 60s.

Evening temperatures will slide back into the mid 50s with an overnight low in the low 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers, especially early and again late. Becoming windy in the afternoon and evening. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Friday: Morning rain showers and maybe a rumble of thunder. Some afternoon sun possible. Winds lessen early, then increase again late. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Saturday: Cloudy with rain showers likely. Possibly some more gusty winds. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Sunday: Some afternoon showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
