Sheriff’s Blotter: Individual allegedly drives while impaired by drugs, and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office provided reports of arrests in the past few days.

Here are the reports:

Heather S. Gee

Gee, 43, of Cortlandville, was arrested during the early-morning hours of Friday (April 12).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 281 in Cortlandville after Gee’s vehicle was being operated without bright lights.

According to the report, Gee was allegedly driving while her ability was impaired by drugs. Gee was also allegedly found to be in possession of drugs.

Gee was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanors); and for insufficient headlamps and tail lamps, for stopping on pavement, insufficient turn signal and failure to notify DMV of change in address (all infractions).

Gee was processed, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on April 29.

Marquis F. Samuels

Samuels, 20, of Garden City, was arrested on Thursday (April 11).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Samuels allegedly stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville. Samuels was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Samuels was processed, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on April 29.
