A new weather system will make its way through the region today, but the results will be more of the same.

Skies will be cloudy throughout the day with little to no hope for seeing the sun.

Rain showers will be possible mainly during the afternoon hours. The rain will be scattered, and on and off. A stray shower cannot be ruled out this morning, though.

Winds will be out of the south ahead of this system and will become blustery. Wind speeds will be around 15 mph with gusts reaching around 35 mph.

Despite the south winds, the clouds and showers will hold temperatures in check. Today will not be much warmer than the last few days with highs in the upper 50s.

Most of the rain should end by the evening, but a few stray showers or some drizzle will continue to be possible through the night.

Evening temperatures will drop through the 50s and into the mid 40s. Overnight lows will be just a bit cooler, reaching about 40 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a stray afternoon shower. Breezy. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs around 50.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, but some sun possible late. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 50s.

Tuesday: Increasing clouds with late rain showers likely. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
