A warm but unsettled air mass will settle into place today.

Scattered rain showers will be possible at any time today, but that is not to say it will always be raining.

Showers will be hit or miss during the morning hours, then should increase for the afternoon. A few thunderstorms with heavy downpours will also be possible this afternoon.

A few showers will linger into the evening before largely dissipating before midnight.

There may be some breaks of sunshine here and there, but for the most part, clouds will rule the skies.

Despite the clouds and rain, temperatures will be notably warmer today with highs topping out around or slightly above 70 degrees.

Winds will be from the southwest early, then will become more westerly for most of the day. Wind speeds should stay under 10 mph with top gusts around 20 mph, not including any thunderstorms.

Evening temperatures will drop back to around 60 degrees, then fall to a low in the mid 50s. Skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the night.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Sun and clouds. Maybe an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a shower. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
