Multiple Main Street projects have been announced as work continues this week for the City of Cortland’s ongoing Downtown Revitalization Initiative.

According to Crown City Rising, The projects are as follows:

  1. Crews with CCI Construction will continue the installation of storm drainage on Court Street between Main and Church Street this week. There will be no parking on the north side of Court Street during hours of operation, which is 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Court Street will remain open with alternating lane closures. Parking will be available on the south side of Court Street.
  2. Work continues to rehabilitate the underground utility vault at 33 Main St. Sidewalk closures are in place. Patrons of NY Bagel are reminded that the business is open regular hours. There is the Central Avenue service window and temporary short-term parking has been established on Central Avenue for NY Bagel customers.
  3. Crews with CCI are also expected to begin storm sewer work in the pocket park (alley) between 10 Main St. and 16 Main St. Parking between 10 Main St. and 16 Main St. will be restricted during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  4. CCI Subcontractors will start working on the infrastructure for traffic control and street lighting at the intersection of North Main Street, Main Street, Groton Avenue and Clinton Avenue. This work will restrict parking and result in alternating lane closures at that intersection.
