The Cortland Enlarged City School District (CECSD) revealed its proposed 2024-25 school budget at a public hearing on Tuesday.
The brand-new budget comes with a total projected revenue at $56,135,150. The tax levy increase, according to documents, is set in the levy limit within 4.07%.
The proposed revenue is an almost 5% increase (4.99%) from last year’s adopted revenue ($53,466,042).

The annual vote on the proposed budget, other propositions and board of education candidates will be held from noon to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21. Details on each proposition can be viewed here on slides 38-to-44 from Tuesday’s budget presentation.
