A potential plea deal for a man facing accusations from multiple arrests has been delayed.

Matthew S. Clark, of Truxton, is facing charges from a handful of separate arrests that occurred last year (2023). Incidents from Clark’s arrests include arson and attempted murder, and breaking and entering a residence to steal items.

On Tuesday (June 18) in Cortland County Court, defense attorney Christopher Thorpe requested an adjournment after he realized that if Clark entered a plea, future sentences would run consecutively and not concurrently.

Clark will appear in county court at 9 a.m. June 28.
