Duane Hollenbeck, 59, was found dead Dec. 12 at the Chickamauga Battlefield in Georgia, according to the Times Free Press.
The organization goes on to report that Hollenbeck was reported missing by a neighbor in New York days before was found with a laceration on his head. He appeared to have been dead for less than a day.
WRCBTV reported that Jennifer Demott and Robert Brooks have both been charged with murder in connection with the crime. They're in custody at the Catoosa County Jail.
Park Ranger Chief Todd Roeder told the news organization, "What our investigation revealed was that Ms. DeMott and Mr. Hollenbeck knew each other."
