Cortlandville woman involved in dispute charged with DWI

Narrative: Rodriguez called 911 after she was involved in a dispute. Troopers located Rodriguez pulled over on Interstate 81 in the town of Virgil. After an investigation, Rodriguez was arrested. She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Virgil Town Court on April 17.

Police track down stolen backpack

Name: Michael J. Warner

Charge(s): Two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny (felony); fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (misdemeanor); third-degree criminal possession of marijuana (felony)
Narrative: On April 2, at about 5:30 a.m., Warner stole a backpack from a motor vehicle parked on Parker Avenue. The bag contained a handgun, computer and $100 in cash. When officers were interviewing neighbors in the area, they noticed the backpack in Warner's residence. All of the stolen property was recovered. Police also found more than 8 ounces of marijuana inside his residence.
