Cortland Weather Outlook: Thursday, August 1

To start the month of August, forecasters are anticipating a sunny day along with clear skies and temperatures reaching a high around 80 degrees.

There will be refreshing calm northwest winds of up to eight miles per hour in the afternoon.

To end the day, skies will keep themselves clear at night with temperatures dropping to a low near 54 degrees.

Here is a look at the rest of this week's weather forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures increasing to a high of around 80 degrees during the day. There will be clam winds at night and temperatures will decrease to a low of about 58 degrees.

Saturday: Mostly sunny throughout the day, with temperatures reaching a high near 81 degrees. There will be however, a slight 20 percent chance of rain showers in the evening. Temperatures will then decrease to about 58 degrees at night.

Sunday: Sunny along with clear skies throughout the day. Temperatures will decrease to around 78 degrees during the day and drop to a near 53 degrees at night.

Monday: Mostly sunny during the day. There will be clear skies throughout the afternoon along with temperatures increasing to around 79 degrees. Temperatures will then drop to a near 58 degrees at night.

Tuesday: Partly sunny throughout the day, with there also being a slight 30 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Temperatures will increase to a hight near 82 degrees during the day and decrease to around 61 degrees at night.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with there being a 40 percent chance of showers throughout the day . Temperatures will reach a high of around 80 degrees during the day and drop to around 60 degrees at night.
