Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, April 11, 2020:

A weak area of high pressure will build into our region today, bringing some quieter weather with it.

Skies will be a mixture of sunshine and cloudier periods throughout the day. Generally speaking, though, the morning will be cloudier than the afternoon, and skies should become mostly clear by the late afternoon or this evening.

A stray flurry may fly this morning, but otherwise, not precipitation is expected today.

Winds will still be a bit blustery, but not nearly as strong as the last two days. Expect top gusts of 25-30 mph from the northwest. Tonight’s winds will be light but will change direction and come from the south.

Temperatures will remain chilly and well below normal. Look for afternoon highs to only reach the low 40s.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 30s and into the upper 20s but should rise back to the 30s after midnight.

Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Perhaps a shower or flurry. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Wednesday: Morning clouds giving way to afternoon sun. Maybe some early precipitation. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.
