Clouds will be more plentiful today as a new, strong storm system begins to approach the region.

Some sunshine will filter through the clouds at times, especially during the afternoon hours. It will probably never be completely sunny, though.

A few rain showers will be possible this morning, and again this evening. Most areas will stay dry throughout the day, though.

Steady south winds will blow at 5-10 mph with gusts reaching 25 mph. These winds will help give temperatures a boost.

Look for highs to top out in the mid 50s. Evening temperatures will slip just below 50 degrees but should push back above 50 overnight.

The storm system will arrive in full force on Monday with wind, rain, and possibly thunderstorms.

Monday: Windy. Morning rain. Scattered afternoon showers and storms. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Sunshine and thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. A few stray flurries. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs near 40.
