A small area of low pressure will pass through the region today resulting in more cool, unsettled weather.

Breaks of sunshine will be few and far between today, but not impossible to come by. The majority of the time, it will just be overcast though.

Scattered rain showers will move in from the west later this morning, increasing in coverage through the early afternoon. A rumble of thunder or some small hail cannot be totally ruled out.

By the late afternoon, a few snowflakes will also become possible as colder air filters into the region.

High temperatures will occur around midday, topping out in the upper 40s. A drop into the upper 30s should take place by dinnertime, with evening temperatures sliding back to the mid 30s.

Winds today will start lightly from the south, but will spin around to the west, then northwest as the low passes through. The northwest winds this afternoon will also be stronger, with speeds of 10-15 mph and gusts near 30 mph
