Temperatures will continue to climb today as a precursor to what will be a very hot week ahead.

Skies will be sunny throughout today, though some thin clouds this morning may filter some of the sunshine. Fair-weather clouds will develop but should be small in size.

No rain is expected today, or for the next few days.

Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph, trying hard to keep the coming heat at bay. Top gusts will be around 20 mph.

High temperatures should easily make it into the mid 80s. A few southern and western parts of the county could see upper 80s. Moderate humidity levels, similar to the last several days, will be present.

Skies will clear tonight but temperatures will be slow to make it out of the 70s.

Monday: Sunny with a couple small fair-weather clouds. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy and hot. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 90s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Maybe an afternoon shower or storm. Morning lows near 70. Afternoon highs near 90.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs near 90.
