Cortland Weather Outlook: Monday, October 5

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, October 5, 2020:

Today will turn out rather cloudy with a few showers here and there as a weak weather system moves through.

The best chance for rain associated with this system has already come and gone last night. Any additional rain today will be light and spotty. There is a slightly better chance for these extra showers this afternoon compared to this morning.

A few breaks of sunshine will also be possible though. Like the showers, these may appear at any time, but unlike the showers, the morning will be the favored time.

Wind speeds will be around 5 mph today, primarily from the west but becoming more variable late in the afternoon.

High temperatures this afternoon will be in the upper 50s, though a few pockets may stick closer to the mid 50s.

Some clouds will stick around into the overnight, especially early on, keeping temperatures mostly in the 40s. If clearing does work in, though, 30s would be possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Tuesday: Sunny until some late clouds. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Wednesday: Cloudy with periods of rain. Breezy. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs near 60.

Thursday: Breezy and cloudy with on and off showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
