Another cool day is ahead as northwesterly flow persists even with Ida now well out of the picture.

Clouds will increase during the mid to late morning hours and will be plentiful through the afternoon. Unlike yesterday, when the clouds did not produce any rain, today a few stray showers will be possible.

Many areas will probably not see rain, and those that do will only see brief light sprinkles.

Wind speeds will be a bit lower than yesterday, coming in from the northwest at close to 10 mph. Top gusts will be between 20-25 mph.

Afternoon highs will again be a bit below average for early September, topping out in the mid 60s.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy to mostly clear. This will allow temperatures to drop into the upper 40s and low 50s, despite a gentle south wind developing.
