Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, February 6

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, February 6, 2022:

High pressure will supply plenty of sunshine today and a modest increase in temperatures compared to yesterday.

South winds kicked in overnight and will help temperatures moderate from a chilly start. Teaming up with the sunshine, the wind will cause temperatures to rise quickly this morning.

By the afternoon, highs should reach into the mid 20s.

There will be a few thin clouds passing through on occasion. These should do little to block the sun, and no precipitation will fall.

The south winds will blow at speeds of 5-10 mph. The wind will pick up a bit more this evening with speeds around 10 mph and a few gust as high as 30 mph, especially in the higher elevations of the northern part of the county.

Evening temperatures will fall into the mid teens, but will hold steady or rise slightly from there.
