Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, February 13

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, February 13, 2022:

Cold air will entrench itself over the region in the wake of yesterday’s cold front.

Northwest winds will blow through the day at near or just over 5 mph. Top gusts will be around 15 mph.

Though the winds will not be overly strong, temperatures will only rise a couple of degrees for a high in the mid 10s. 

Scattered lake effect snow showers will be possible from time to time. Individual bouts of snow should be short lived, but the snow could come down on the heavy side for brief times. Accumulations should be limited an inch or so.

Tonight, the lake snows will persist in their scattered, on and off manner. Between snow showers, skies may become clear at times.

Temperatures should drop steadily this evening and end up slightly below zero by Monday morning.

Monday: Some early clouds and flurries giving way to sunshine. Morning lows 0 to  -5. Afternoon highs near 10.

Tuesday: Sunny with a few clouds. Morning lows near -5. Afternoon highs in the low 20s.

Wednesday: Sun and thin clouds. Morning lows near 15. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Thursday: Increasing clouds. Rain and wind late. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.
