Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.
The county health department noted as of Aug. 26, the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is low.
As of Aug. 25, there have been 12,054 total positive cases, over 720 hospitalizations and 127 deaths in the county. According to the state as of Aug. 25, the daily average of positive tests amongst county residents is 9.2%, and the weekly average of cases per 100K is 18.2.
The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 63.4%. Additional numbers show that 58.9% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
