A frontal boundary will settle over the region today, keeping the weather unsettled, but not a washout.

The best chance for dry weather will be through the morning hours. Even then, though, there is a small chance for a couple brief, stray showers.

Skies will be rather cloudy, but some breaks of sun will be possible. Temperatures will work their way to around 80 degrees by the early afternoon.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase through the afternoon. The later in the day it gets, the greater the chances for rain and thunder.

The rain should be hit-or-miss though, with quite a bit of dry time through the afternoon.

Tonight, rain showers will increase as the front pushes back north a bit and low pressure begins to develop. The rain could become steady after midnight for a time, continuing into Monday morning.

Winds will be light and variable with the front nearby or overhead. Top gusts may not even get much over 10 mph.

Evening temperatures will drop into the low 60s, where they should remain overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Periods of rain and thunder. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Tuesday: A few scattered showers. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: Sunny with a few clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
