SUNY Cortland police reports alleged forcible touching & rape incidents

University Police at SUNY Cortland recently reported two alleged forcible touching incidents and an alleged rape incident that occurred on campus this month.

The forcible touching incidents took place on Sept. 11 and 14. The rape incident occurred on Sept. 7, and took place in the early-morning hours of that day, according to reports.

The reports state that each incident took place in a residence hall on campus. Also according to the reports, the victims and suspects in each incident knew each other.

SUNY Cortland police did not provide further details on all of the incidents.

Each incident was reported to the university’s Title IX office, and the investigation for each case is ongoing.
