High pressure will pass through the region today, keeping the weather quiet.

After a chilly start to the morning, temperatures will rise steadily thanks to sunshine and light winds. The sun will mix with clouds at times, but most of the clouds will be thin and insignificant.

Wind speeds will be around 5 mph with gusts under 20 mph. The wind will still be from the northwest, but the sunshine will help temperatures climb higher than yesterday.

Afternoon highs should be around 60 degrees. This is still below average for late September, though.

Clouds will gradually increase tonight. Winds will initially be calm as the center of the high moves overhead, but will pick back up from the south as the high moves east.

The increasing clouds and developing south wind will prop nighttime temperatures up. After a quick drop into the mid 40s this evening, temperatures should rise back to the upper 40s overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: On and off showers, especially in the afternoon. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Monday: Cloudy with showers likely. Morning lows around 50. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Wednesday: Clouds, some sun, and a few showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
