The Cortland-Homer Golden Eagles defeated Skaneateles on the road with a score of 3-2 in overtime.

With this win, Cortland-Homer now holds an overall record of 3-0.

“Tonight was a huge win for our program,” said Cortland-Homer Coach Paul Quinlan. “I am so proud of the kids. We lost our senior starting goalie in the first period, and Cole Mead came in and did an amazing job for us. That was his first action at the high school level, and having your first game against Skaneateles in their barn is not an easy thing to do for anyone. The coaching staff talked to the team before the season about being ready because everyone will be called on at some point to contribute. Tonight was Cole’s turn, and he was ready for it.”
