Cortland-Homer ice hockey in state rankings for 2nd-straight week

The Cortland-Homer boys ice hockey team remained in the New York State Sportswriters Association’s Division II rankings for a second-straight week.

The Golden Eagles (9-2) came in at No. 7 in the Division II state rankings. The squad was No. 5 last week.

Cortland-Homer’s divisional rivals in the Division II state rankings include Skaneateles (10-3) at No. 4 and CBA/J-D (10-2) at No. 10.

On the Division I side of the state rankings, West Genesee (11-2) is No. 2 and Baldwinsville (11-1) is No. 10.

Section I’s Suffern and Section X’s Salmon River are top-ranked in the Division I and II rankings, respectively.

The Golden Eagles take on Clinton at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
