A woman was arrested over the weekend for stealing merchandise from a local store, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.
The report stated that Makayla R. Ferguson, 23, of the town of North Chili, “failed to render payment” for merchandise before leaving the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville.
Ferguson was charged with petit larceny – a misdemeanor. She was processed, arraigned, released on an appearance ticket and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on April 17.
