County Drug Task Force raids house, finds drugs

The Cortland County Drug Task Force raided an individual’s house and found a variety of drugs, according to a report.

A County Drug Task Force report stated that Shauna M. Hamilton, 40 of Cortland, was found to be in possession of three bags of fentanyl and cocaine.

The task force also investigated Hamilton’s house on Cedar Street and found 15 grams methamphetamine, packaging material, scales and undisclosed amount of money, the report noted.

According to the report, the street value of the drugs found is over $1,500.

Hamilton was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a Class-B Felony), two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a Class-A Misdemeanor), and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia (also a Class-A Misdemeanor).

Hamilton was arraigned, processed and now currently being held at Cortland County Jail with no bail.
