Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, April 29, 2023:

An area of low pressure will stall over the Upper Great Lakes today.

Rain showers will be common this morning but should taper off and end this afternoon as dry air wraps around the low and into the area.

A stray spit of rain after midday cannot be ruled out, but for the most part it will remain dry. Skies are expected to stay mostly to completely cloudy, though.

Southeast winds will blow throughout the day with speeds up to 15 mph. A few gusts over 30 mph will also be possible, especially over higher terrain.

Temperatures will be held down by the morning rain and afternoon clouds. Highs will only make it a couple of degrees above 50 degrees.

Dry conditions are expected to continue into and through the nighttime hours. Southeast winds and cloudy skies will continue.

Nighttime temperatures will drop to the mid 40s.

Monday: Rain showers. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Tuesday: Rain showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Wednesday: Rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs around 50.
